There is a reason why the Balearics have been such a popular holiday spot for many years. Its gorgeous temperate maritime climate has an average year-round temperature of 21 degrees C, and the sun shines for 300 days out of 365!

So, during the winter months you can take advantage of those cheap hotels and flights and still enjoy great shooting conditions.

The Locations

The huge variety of stunning locations, all within a short drive of each other, make the Balearic Islands of Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera the ideal location. You can shoot on the beach, up a mountain, in the fields and at a rural or modern house all in the same day. There is nowhere else you’ll find that diversity of backdrops so close to most European cities!

The islands also have a huge selection of hotels and restaurants sensitive to the needs of film and stills production. You’ll find them really friendly and helpful. In fact you can’t help but pick up on the good vibe here! People work together, play together and generally enjoy life.

If you are lucky enough to get time off between shoots there’s loads to enjoy too: hiking and biking in the mountains, stretching your plastic in some great shops, relaxing on a terrace in a typical Mediterranean village, dining in a fancy restaurant or chatting over lunch by the beach. And for all you party people there’s hundreds of different bars and clubs on the seafront.
